Alabama Contemporary offers classes and workshops for adults of all skill levels. Studio art classes are led by professional artists and experienced educators.

Artwork by local, regional, national, and international artists featured in Alabama Contemporary’s exhibitions provide inspiration for studio exploration in classes and workshops designed to foster relationships with the community through the arts .

In this 4-week workshop, artist Colleen Terrell Comer introduces participants the building blocks of visual art: mark making, composition and color. This course is structured to provide students with the skills and techniques necessary to create their own paintings and help develop their personal painting style.

Kindred Yoga will join us on the terrace at ACAC on the last Saturday morning of every month, from 9-10 a.m. This drop-in session will feature a 45-minute yoga flow followed by 15 minutes of mingling with fresh, cold-pressed juices for sale from Ginger & Spice.
