SESSIONS WILL TAKE PLACE DAILY 8:30 AM – 3 PM, MONDAY – FRIDAY, with the option to add AFTER CAMP until 5 PM for an additional fee
Your child can experience the transformative effect of contemporary art! ACAC is offering an opportunity for creative students to create and play using everyday objects and experiment with different art mediums .
Students are encouraged to think creatively, create narratives and challenge themselves to learn new artistic and expression techniques. Classes will include ceramics, drawing, painting, art appreciation, mixed media projects, and movement.
ACAC Art Camp is designed for children ages 6 and older; children ages 5 and under will not be admitted. The camp is limited to fifteen students per week in order to provide one-on-one art education.
*Campers must bring a lunch and snack every day to eat during supervised breaks. Avoid peanut products.
*All materials and instruction are covered in the class fee.

In this camp, we’ll delve into the intersection of art and nature with everything from vibrant mixed media projects to traditional painting methods. Campers will explore their role as stewards of the environment, forging a deeper connection with the world around them.

Students will explore different art mediums, including paint, collage, color, mixed media, watercolor, drawing, and movement.

Get your hands dirty! Draw your own characters from scratch, learn the basics of sketching and illustration, then make it 3D. Campers will experiment with wheel throwing and create their own ceramic sculptures using clay.

Instructor: Tori Caldwell & Mary Ashley Hand
The best of both worlds: campers will experience watercolor painting and make playful sculptures out of clay with local artists Tori Caldwell and Mary Ashley Hand. Campers will create mixed media sculptures and take home their personalized stained glass, making memories that shine brightly all summer long!

Students will explore different art mediums, including portrait painting, collage, mixed media, watercolor, drawing, and movement with local artist Soynika Edwards-Bush.

Instructors: Courtney Matthews & Nadine Andrews
This camp will focus on exploring emotions through theatrical exercises and creating fun costumes. Students will create their own authentic character, and imagine their wardrobe, make-up and staging.
