Artist Dinner w/ Susie Bowman
In our new shape as a ‘museum without walls’ we are reinventing many of the programs we have loved over the last many years. Our popular artists dinners have always been intimate gatherings that give folks a deep look into individual artists’ practices, but this year we are taking them into the actual homes and/or studios of local masters of their craft.
On March 19, join us at the home of ceramicist Susie Bowman in Fairhope, Alabama, where we will break bread over what it takes to sustain a practice in the deep Deep South. Susie will give us a first hand look at her home studio and soda kiln. Tickets are $75 per person and includes dinner and drinks. Space is limited, registration required.
Proceeds benefit the construction of a community kiln at AC Satellite, an arts education studio in Downtown Mobile.
