Artist Dinner w/ Colleen Comer
In our new shape as a ‘museum without walls’ we are reinventing many of the programs we have loved over the last many years. Our popular artists dinners have always been intimate gatherings that give folks a deep look into individual artists’ practices, but this year we are taking them into the actual homes and/or studios of local masters of their craft.
On August 27, join us at the home of artist Colleen Comer on Dog River in Mobile, Alabama, where we will break bread over what it takes to sustain a practice in the deep Deep South. Colleen will talk about her recent work, finding humor and inspiration in imperfection, and feminine power in every day calamities/banalities. Tickets are $75 per person and includes dinner and drinks. Space is limited, registration required.
Proceeds benefit the construction of the education pavilion, community kiln, and sculpture garden at AC Satellite, an arts education hub in Downtown Mobile.
