These conversations are an opportunity to gather and share memories that revolve around the Avenue, jazz events and experiences in Mobile, and celebrate our musical history.
Artist Jarrett Key is stopping by AC Satellite on his hair painting and story gathering tour to talk to Mobilians about their experiences on the Southern Shores. From 3-5 p.m. on July 18, all are invited to stop by for a quick interview with the artist and share their shore stories.

The second iteration of Raise 251, 251.2, takes a deep dive into the culture, economy, and traditions of the Cambodian and Laotian communities seeded in Bayou La Batre. By taking a focused look at these communities’ approach to food, work, and faith, we are expanding and diversifying the parameters of how health is defined in our community.
For the launch of our new Guest Curator program we are hosting information sessions for anyone interested in answering the Call for Proposals. Our newly appointed Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs, elizabet elliott, will be available to explain how the program works, answer questions and receive feedback.
